racter of your choice. (R1 will select the default costume color) Hidden FMV sequence: Successfully complete the game as Sion. Increased character rank: Every time the game is completed in story mode, the rank of the extra characters in versus and survival modes will increase. This does not include Volt, Sion, and Kou. When Sion, Volt, and Kou each have an S rank, all previously unlocked characters in versus or survival modes will also be at an S rank. Dauragon shirtless: Complete the game for a third time using any character. After defeating Dauragon for the second time, he will get up again and fight topless. Defeat him to unlock him in versus and survival modes. Dauragon fighting with one arm: Play the game in story mode and defeat Dauragon at his first encounter. The one armed fighting version of Dauragon will be unlocked in versus and survival modes. Kaldea: Defeat Kaldea before the final encounter with Dauragon in story mode to unlock her in versus and survival modes. Kou with MSF costume: Play through the entire game, only selecting Kou. Save the game after Kou enters the Mikado building as a MSF soldier. The MSF costume for Kou will now be unlocked in versus and survival modes. Leann Caldwell: Play through the entire game, only selecting Kou. After you defeat Dauragon for the final time you will view a FMV sequence where you have to fight Leann. Defeat her to unlock her in versus and survival modes. Mugetsu with mask: Successfully complete the Mikado Building-Hanging Garden level to unlock Mugetsu with his mask in versus and survival modes. Mugetsu without mask: Successfully complete the Galeos-Mid Flight level to unlock Mugetsu without his mask in versus and survival modes. PD-4: Defeat the PD-4 during story mode to unlock it in versus and survival modes. Wong Leung: Use only Volt or Kou through the entire game. However, when you are going to fight Threw for the last time, select Sion. When you finish the game, Sion will have a flashback. Defeat Wong Leung to unlock him in versus mode. Unlock Wong Leung To unlock Sion's sensei, Wong you must play through the game as any character. When you come up to the battle against Kaldea (the battle right before the final fight), have any character other than Sion fight her. Then, use Sion to complete the game. During the end sequence, right before Dominique comes to visit Sion while he is working the door of the bar, you will view a flashback sequence where Sion will do battle with his master, Wong. Wong fights similar to both Sion and Dauragon. He uses the same two-fisted attack as Dauragon (where he can hit an opponent both in front of him, and behind him), as well as leg sweeps similar to Sion. You can use normal attacks against him, but one special move in particular works very well. Block attacks from Wong, and while he is recovering from one press the ES+MEDUIM buttons (whatever you have them assigned to) to perform the Torpedo Kick move, which will take off a bit of damage and knock Wong off his feet. Turn that into a pattern: Block, Torpedo Kick, Block, Torpedo Kick, etc. to defeat Wong, who you can then use in the Versus mode. Unlock Leann Caldwell When you play through the game you will notice Kou talking on the phone to someone. If you play through as Kou, you will hear this person talking and learn that she is actually someone else, who just looks like Kou. Her name is actually Leann. You can play as Leann by playing through the entire game as Kou (which means, you cannot switch to any other character at any time during the game). During the end sequence, Kou will encounter Leann in the Central Square area and do battle with her. The best way to defeat her is to block her attacks and use the Circular Uppercut (ES+MEDIUM buttons) move to juggle her into the air. Unlock Topless Duragon Complete the game three times using any character. After defeating Duragon for the second time, he will get up again and fight topless. Defeat him to unlock Topless Duragon in versus mode. Unlock Kou with MSF costume Play through story mode with any character. When you come to it, use Kou to infiltrate the Mikado Building. The MSF costume for Kou will now be unlocked in survival and versus modes. Unlock Sion with black hood costume Complete survival mode by defeating the black-hooded version of Sion to unlock that costume in survival and versus modes.

Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits
10 Bountiful Fruit, 50 Dilzweld Bombs, and 100,000 Gold. Unlock Choco Beat the 30-round arena trial in Rueloon with Darc's party. Spirit Amulet Special Item In Kharg's story: Rivalry, once you have obtained the Lamda sutra, and have had it read, return to the library and open the special door again. A Diekbeck imposter will be on the stand where the Lamda sutra was. Talk to him and say he is lying when he says he leader of the Ultra-Mech Squad. Then he will ask ten questions, the following answers are correct. 1. Counterclockwise. 2. A cat. 3. Beautiful stones. 4. Palkia. 5. The entrants' lunches. 6. Dice. 7. The shinobi gang. 8. Lakelta. 9. A pipe. 10. Buster. You will be awarded a Spirit Amulet which blocks all elemental attacks except for dark attacks. Japanese dialogue: Hold R1 + R2 + R3 buttons when selecting the language option at the options screen. A new option for Japanese will appear. Items: When fighting enemies such as the Delzweld soldiers, defeat the commanders first. They often carry equipment you can use or sell. When you fight Cameillia, and afterwards Droguza, find the blue and green boxes on the battle field and break them open before ending the battle. The contents are well worth the effort. When inside the Flying Castle, do not go directly to the elevators to fight the Divine Ruler. Instead, search each floor for the treasure rooms. There is powerful equipment for every character spread throughout the fortress. Burst Blade: When fighting against Darkham and his bodyguards, defeat Darkham first for Kharg's Burst Blade, which nearly doubles his attack arc width. Dragon's Wrath and Storm Medallion: When you fight the two giant dragons in Darc's story, kill the Golden Dragon for a Dragon's Wrath, which puts Darc's counterattack to 100, or the Silver Dragon for a Storm Medallion. If you want both items, take the extra time to steal from one dragon after killing the first. Golem Mask and Stuffed Bear: When you fight Bebedora and her two Altimas, it is a good idea to either kill the Altimas or steal from them to make sure you get Bebedora's Stuffed Bear and Maru's Golem Mask. Herbs: Use the following trick to get ten free Herbs. In Chapter 1 of Darc's story, after you get Densimo into your party go to the entrance of Gorma's House. Look to the left, and you will see a yellow skinny Orcon walking around. Talk to him and he will note that Densimo is in your party, causing him to start talking about the five Wonders of Orcoth. Pretend that you care about what he says and say that you will listen. He will ask you a few f times if you are still interested in listening. Lie and say "Yes". Eventually he will ask you how many words were in the spiel he just gave. Choose the one that reads 600-800 (the fourth choice) and he will give you ten Herbs. Note: You must do this while Densimo is in your party. Doing it before or after results in you obtaining nothing. Knuckle Guard: When playing as Kharg in the beginning of the game, after going through the entire Banjo, Lloyd, Spirit Stone scenes, go to the bottom-left of Yewbell to the refinery. Talk to the man outside and he will say he is waiting for Banjo so he can unlock the shop. He asks you to go find Banjo. Say "Yes", then go to the item shop. He will be in the upper-right corner. Talk to him, and he will give you the Knuckle Guard. It increases only Kharg's Defense and Guard, and it is a good weapon part at the beginning of the game. When you no longer want it, sell it for 350 G. Better aiming: To aim better without moving from your current position, when controlling your character, hold R1 during a battle. An arc will appear. The highlighted arc shows the range where you can attack. Aim at the enemy and attack. Aiming at multiple enemies: When enemies are close, you can actually attack them depending on your character's attacking arc. Some are large while others are small but ranged. Go to the position that you would like to attack from. Hold R1 and aim the arc at the enemies. Move the arc left or right to aim properly until you get "targets" above the enemies you want to attack. Sometimes you must quit aiming and move slightly to aim properly. Some require very slight adjustments; turn very slowly. Joint attack: You can do a joint attack on enemies whenever your character's body is burning with fire. You get this burning effect when you receive a certain amount of damage. When using that character to attack, a nearby ally will team up with you. Dealing more damage: Attacking the enemies from behind deals more damage than from up front. Use that angle of attack whenever possible. Defeating Black Abyss: It is possible to defeat Black Abyss at level 33 for both Darc and Kharg. A long range character (Maru recommended) is required. Before you start the battle, equip all your character's weapons with at least two Diamond Coating or something else that increases your attack greatly Equip most of your characters with at least two Diamond Coatings is recommended. You will also need at least two Stone Bags for each character, and extra Gales that make you speed up in the party items for backup. Allow your character to learn a long and wide range moves. Make sure to sell all your Elixir and other items that effect enemies items, and buy lot of Strongest Herd and a dozen Revival Medicines. Give the six characters at least three Greatest and make sure to have one healer. Store that character with more Strongest Herd and three Revival Medicines. However, do not throw items that temporary raise ATT away, as they will be needed. When you are ready to battle, select Maru with you and Demelia, or a party with Darc, Kharg, Paulette, Ganz, Volk and Maru. Black Abyss has three moves: summon Brain Cell to attack, absorb HP from nearby, and a beam that deals lot of damage across the room (but not the edge of the room). This attack will regain his black mist and raise its defense. Black Abyss has great defense. You must kill Brain Cell to weaken it. If you notice the black mist around him slowly lighten, use the following strategy. If you have master Black Abyss moves, then you are ready. Separate your six characters, three to each side, and stay at the edge of the room. Killeach Brain Cell. Do not use too many moves on them, but on Black Abyss. Note: If you are out of SP for moves, re-equip that character's accessories to Gale to raisethat character's speed (especially when Maru is out of SP). Raise Maru's ATT with items. Once you notice the mist surrounding Black Abyss has disappeared, do not go near Black Abyss. You will find that the Black Abyss has become inactive. Use this opportunity to slowly kill Black Abyss with your best long range attack (Maru). Defeating Demon Droguza: Before going to the Megis with Darc's party in the "Evolution" chapter, make sure that Camellia is at least at level 20 and has all the best weapon attachments and armor (and perhaps speed boosting). Before you go into the elevator in the lab, make sure that you have transformed Camellia into her younger self and have enough Spirit Stones to max her out. When you fight Demon Droguza, get past the point where he casts a wall attack spell, but far enough that he cannot swipe at Camellia (the rest of the party is support). Just keep shooting and he will almost never hit Camellia, except for his tail bomb attack (in which case you should heal). Easy experience: When in a battle and there are stumps, crates, etc., attack and destroy them. Sometimes you will get items and Spirit Stones. It is worth the extra effort because even if it is empty, you get experience and SP for them. When you are in the Flying Castle and are fighting Lilia Getmann, there will be a few Meshimgen. If you kill one, on Lilia Getmann's next turn it will summon another Meshimgen. With this strategy you can get incredible experience and SP. The Meshimgen also will usually drop 60 Spirit Stones, so you can use as many skills as desired. With this strategy, you can level up, get more Spirit Stones, and have enough SP to get everyone's star number to the maximum; allowing you to get ready for the powerful final Boss, Lord Of The Black Abyss. An very easy way to get extra experience is to fight in the Arenas (Cathena and Lamda in Kharg's story, or Orcoth and Rueloon in Darc's story). Although expensive (100 G for five to ten fights, 200 G for fifteen to twenty fights, and 300 G for thirty fights), you can sometimes get 5,000 experience per fight and upwards of 100 SP. A good strategy for getting though them is to make sure you have enough Spirit Stones or items to keep yourself healed. Also, remember that the final round is more often than not the most difficult of the entire competition. After unlocking the New Game+, in Darc's second chapter, go to the Orcoth Arena and equip who you want to level up with the Romantic Stone. Then, enter the second tournament and use only skills. Because of the Romantic Stone, it will not use up Spirit Stones. You can go all the way up to level 40 in a matter hours with this strategy. Chest behind dog in Milmarma: You will need to have a bone to give to the dog, Rover. It can be obtained by checking the two rocks behind the old man in the small land platform leading to the palace. You will not get any item. It is just charity work to help little Rover get a new owner.
