Better homerun chance:

Hold Left Analog-stick Up for a better chance of hitting a homerun. This works well when using a power hitter such as Sammy Sosa, A-Rod, Frank Thomas, etc.

Stealing Bases:

99% of the time, if your lead off hitter is fast egnough he can steal. If the other team has a cannon of a catcher stay there. If you are a rookie, try not to lead off because it is difficult to get back on base not getting off. If a player is at third and the hitter hits the ball, wait until your opponent catches it. Then, steal from third base to home plate. If you have a person on second and third base, make the batter bunt (only if you have no or one outs) and go home and to third base so that the batter gets a sacrifice bunt RBI.

Easy Perfect Game:

Go to the game play setting sliders and go to 'AI batting'. Set everything to 100 and the CPU will never swing the bat.

Stealing

If runners are at first and third base and with only no or one outs, steal second. Almost all of the time, they will not throw. If they do, have the runner on third go home for an easy run.

Running into the catcher

When running home, hold Square and the baserunner will knock the catcher over, and possibly drop the ball.

Unfair trades

Go to the disabled list and look at the players who are injured, mostly the ones who are out for about 60 days. Go to the trade players screen and select that injured player. Select a player from your team who is terrible. Ask for the trade and they will either accept, or accept and ask for one BP or more.

t Exit Career to go back to the career selection screen. The game will autosave your new career as you exit. Now delete your first career, the one you completed. This will move your new career from the second save slot to the first. Load/Play that career, and you'll see that you now have the follow stats from your original saved career: Overall & Tier 1-3 Win/Loss, Win Percentage, and Opponents Seen. Complete Junkyard: Mission: "Attack Challenge" The Easy Way This mission requires you to block 50 consecutive attacks. If you miss one, you have to start over from zero. As you can imagine, this is quite tough. Thanks to a non-obvious fault of the game, there's a really easy (but kind of long) way to complete this task. As soon as the match starts, and you can control your character, press the Block button (R2). If done correctly, your character will get into a defensive position and won't be able to move. The computer controlled opponent should start to punch and kick you (if you're lucky, he'll hit you with a weapon). As long as you hold down the Block button, you won't take any damage and you'll start earning your 50 blocks. As soon as you see your opponent do a move that looks like it's unblockable, quickly pause the game. Check your Block counter at the bottom of the screen to make sure it's not at zero, then quit the match. The game will autosave your progess as it takes you back to the menu. Once you're back at the menu, press X two times to go back into another match. As before, hold down the Block button when you have control of your character, and quickly exit to the menu as soon as you see your opponent do a move that might drop your Block counter down to zero. If your counter accidentally drops down to zero, reboot your PS2 immediately (don't exit to the menu, or let the game end the match, or else it will autosave your zero count). The game will reboot and pull your last saved progress off your memory card. If you keep this up, you'll eventually get to 50 Blocks. This secret trick was successfully tested with the AI Difficulty set to Low. I don't know how well it'll work on Medium and High. Easy money In career mode, go to the pool area. Grab the skimmer as fast as possible and start to beat your opponent senseless. Never put it down and just keep smacking them. Eventually the match will be over and you will get about $40 per match on average. Repeat this process for a nice profit. Submitted by: Alex All FMV sequences Successfully complete career mode.
