Also, if you watch the TV news on a Friday the 13th, there won't be any. Befriend The Sprites Trying to make friends with the Harvest Sprites? An easy way to make them like you is to give them the herbs on the beach from spring to fall. They are located very close to their house (behind the church) and they love them. You'll be playing with the gnomes and having them do your work in no time. When giving grass to harvest sprites, make sure to try and color coordinate (e.g. give the blue sprite blue grass, purple sprite purple grass, etc.) This will have a much bigger effect in building friendships. Easy Power Berry To get your first Power Berry, till all the squares in your farm's field. It will appear somewhere in the field. Chickens Build a fence on your field and throw your chickens in there. Since they are trapped in there, they cannot run around your farm and be difficult to find. They will also find their own food in the same area everyday, so you do not need to feed them. Dog If you want high heart levels for your dog, take it to bed with you every night. In the morning you will have to put it down to use tools. Your dog also becomes extremely happy if he sleeps with the horse, chickens, sheep, cows, etc. Horse When you get your horse, always talk to and brush it. When it is an adult, ride it all the time. After several days Barley will appear. If you did not take good care of your horse, he will take it. It takes exactly one year after you get the horse for it to mature. Then a week after it matures, Barley will appear and check your horse. If it has less than six hearts, he will take it away. However, he will give it back to you next year. When your horse is mature, walk up to it with any kind of vegetable, preferably carrots, and press [A]. This will make him happy. Horse race Save the game, then go to the horse race. Do not bet yet. Make a note of the winners then reset the game. Load the saved game, then bet 99 on the winners. You can get a lot of medals. Also, if you are competing, bet on yourself if you take extremely good care of your horse. If you win, you will get a lot of medals. Puppies To get puppies, go to Barley every day and give him either Miso Soup or Buckwheat Noodles. While you are on your way to Barley's, bring your dog. While holding your dog, talk to Barley's dog Hannah. Then, give Barley the noodles or soup and hold the dog and talk to him. Then, hold the dog and talk to May. At 1:00 p.m., May will not be home. Go to the Church. She will be in the front with Stu and Carter. Then, talk to May and go home with your dog. Finish doing the things on the farm. Kappa and the Power Berry During any season except for Winter, throw two cucumbers in the lake near the mountain. A Kappa will appear and ask to be left alone. For the next ten days, go to the lake and drop one cucumber each day. On the tenth day, Kappa will give you a blue Power Berry that doubles the amount of fatigue that you can take. Mystic Tools The Mystic Stones appear after you have upgraded all your tools to the Mythic level. They will appear after level 60 in the Winter or Lake Mine. Take them to the Blacksmith with 30,000 gold and select the tool you want to be upgraded. Spinach Ship 100 or more of Eggplant, Sweet Potatoes and Carrots. You will get a letter in the mail from the store stating that they now have Spinach for sale. Television If there is a storm coming the next day in the game, wait until after midnight. The television will have colored lines going down it. Teleport Stone After three years on the farm a new item called the Teleport Stone can be found on the 255th floor of the Spring Mine and the Winter Mine. The Teleport Stone can be used to teleport to any area in the game, even to the Winter Mine when it is not Winter. Record Player There are two ways to get a Record Player. The first way is to date Ann. On her Blue Heart event, she will give you a broken Record Player. You cannot fix it. The second way is to link to a Gamecube and Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. After this is done, Van, one of Zack's friends, will come to the Inn to stay. You can buy a Record Player and records. Note: Van will only appear if Cliff is not staying in the Inn. Riddle Mini-Quest Earn ten medals in the Four Swords mode to start the riddle quest with the Lumberjack in Link to the Past. Finish the Riddle Quest to obtain the "Hurricane Blade" skill. Running Man The running man in Kakariko Village, that dashes away from you each time you approach, can actually be caught up to. To catch him, run towards him with the Pegasus Shoes. It'll take some practice, but you can catch up to him. Nothing useful happens though, he just tells you about some various things that aren't very important. Still, it's fun to be able to catch him. The Chickens Attack The Chickens found in Kakariko Village and other areas have a vendetta against you; that is, of course, if you attack them. Hit a chicken enough with your various weapons, whether it be sword, arrow, bomb, whatever, and the chickens will come from all directions to peck you! It's a storm of chickens! Not really a useful secret, but a good one none-the-less, wouldn't you say? The Waterfall of Wishing A fairly important secret, the Waterfall of Wishing provides Link the opportunity to upgrade two of his very important items, his Shield and his Boomerang. The Waterfall of Wishing is located at the end of the river in which you get the Flippers from Zora, but on the opposite end of the river. Pass by the Witch's Hut, move the green stone to gain access to the river, and you'll be in the general vicinity. You need the Flippers to access the Waterfall of Wishing, however. Read the signs in the area to find its location, and then jump into the water. Swim north into a waterfall and you'll be in a secret cave. Now, approach the pond in the cave and it'll ask you to throw an item into the water. Throw your Shield in the water to get the Red Shield back, and your Boomerang in the water to get the Magical Boomerang back, both free of charge. Unlock Sword Beam in Four Swords Play Link to the Past and get the Master Sword in the Lost Woods (you will need all three amulets for this). Once you have the Master Sword, save your game. When you quit and start the game again, a message will confirm that you can now use the Sword Beam (when your heart meter is full) in Four Swords as well. Sword Upgrades 1.Lv.1 swordMaster sword. How to upgrade:get all three pendants and pull it out in the lost woods 2.Master Sword Tempered sword. How to upgrade:After beating the fourth dungeon rescue the creature from the dark world and bring it to the light world bring him to the blacksmiths house.They will offer to temper your sword for ten rupees. 3.Tempered sword golden sword. How to upgrade:after beating misery mire go to Link's house in the Dark World buy a super bomb and take it to the Pyramid of Power and blow open a huge door. Enter and a fairy asks you to throw two items into the pond.Choose the bow(or the boomerang) and the tempered sword to recieve the Golden Sword and the Bow and Silver Arrows. Note#1:if you put in the boomerang you will get the magical boomerang but I recommend the silver arrows Note #2:DO NOT USE THE PEGASUS SHOES TO RUN TO THE PYRAMID!
