Get back to the future with this trick. When you want to skip a level, pause the game, hold A and press Up, Down, Left, Right to advance a level.

Level Skip While playing, pause the game and highlight the MAP symbol, then press A+C to warp to the FINISH icon. Options On the title screen, hold A + B + Upper-Left. Keep holding all of these and press Reset. When the title screen reappears, release everything and press B.

Once you beat Scenario 2 use the Scenario Select code and go back to Scenario 2. Select your soldiers for Garrett, but take archers for Baldarov, (Barbarians are weak against archers). Now when you begin, keep in mind that Baldarov doesn't need any experience. Have Garrett attack the enemy killing only the barbarians. When the Shaman's army is gone, kill him. Then go and assist Baldarov who is defending Mina. If you use the archers against the barbarians with 10HP, you should reduce their number at least four or so; have Garrett finish the weak barbarians off and take all the experience. Repeat the procedure with the rest of the enemies in Scenario 2. By the time you are done with this, Garrett should have had at least 1 class change. Don't worry if you don't get to Level 10 with Garrett, just go back and do it again. Gain levels easy After you defeat Scenario 6, warp back to Scenario 5 and work your commander's levels. Do this as many times as you want. Level Select This trick is a bit complicated, but it does work. Begin a game. Press A to reduce the map. Move the cursor to the upper left-hand side corner of the screen. Move the cursor one space right and one space down. Hold B until a scenario number appears. Press Up and Down to pick a stage. You will begin the stage using the commanders you had when you entered the code. NOTE:When you skip or return to scenarios using the stage select code, keep in mind that whatever your experience was, goes back down to the way it was when you started the scenario before. Magic Items Here's a list of magic items and some of their effects. Item Effect Great Sword +2 attack Shield +4 defense Wand +2 attack Cross +2 defense Amulet +2 defense, increased influence area Warsong Big + for attack and defense Dragon Slayer Bigger + for attack Evil Axe Enormous + for attack, big - for defense Orb Magic takes half as much energy Secret Character Class I'm not sure how secret this is, but it's not mentioned in the manual. When a female Magic Knight reaches level 10, it can turn into a Ranger. The only problem is that a Ranger can't have soldiers of any sort. However, this isn't really a problem as she's EXTREMELY powerful. Sound Test To access the sound test, follow the Level Select instructions but enter the code on the normal map (don't reduce it.)
